We collect several types of information from and about users of our App, including:
- Personal Account Details: Name, phone number, email address, profile picture, and role selection (Customer or Service Provider). We authenticate mobile numbers securely via Firebase OTP authentication.
- Pet Profiles: Pet names, pet type (dog/cat), breed, gender, date of birth, weight, vaccination records, allergies, photos, and veterinary medical notes.
- Service Provider Verification Documents: For verified partners, we collect identification documents including Aadhaar, GST registration certificate, and business licenses for safety and compliance.
- Location Data: With your permission, we collect precise or approximate geolocation coordinates to help you find nearby pet care services and display listings within a specific service radius.
- Booking & Transactions: Services selected, dates, timeslots, service prices, size-based pricing choices, reviews, ratings, and messaging logs between customers and providers.
3. How We Use Your Information
Tails Connect utilizes the gathered data for the following essential purposes:
- To set up, authenticate, and manage your account.
- To facilitate booking requests, matching algorithms, and provider notifications.
- To display verified pet business profiles, pricing size-charts, and customer ratings.
- To process identity verification documents for Service Provider partners.
- To send real-time push notifications, updates, booking approvals, and security alerts.
- To allow inside-app live chat and secure communications between users.
- To improve, optimize, and troubleshoot our application code and user experience.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We respect your privacy and do not sell your personal data. We only share information in the following limited contexts:
- Between Users: Customer profile info and pet details are shared with service providers when booking is initiated. Business contact info is visible to booking customers.
- Service Providers: We use industry-standard cloud providers, secure database servers, and Firebase for OTP authentication and push notifications.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by applicable laws, court orders, or official regulatory requests.
5. Data Security
We implement comprehensive technical and administrative security measures (including secure OAuth protocol, JWT-based REST api authentication, and encrypted data transfer) to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. However, please note that no internet transmission is 100% secure.
6. Data Deletion & Your Rights
You have the right to access, update, correct, or request deletion of your account details and pet profiles at any time. If you wish to delete your account permanently, please contact our support team at support@tailsconnect.com. We will process your deletion request and remove your personal identification records from our active servers within 30 days, except where retention is legally mandated.
